Human Remains Found Near Fordland Belong To Woman Missing For Nearly A Year:

Fordland, Mo.- Authorities in Webster County say the human remains found by a mushroom forager near Fordland last weekend are those of Ashely Cunnigham-Onescu.
The 22 year-old woman, who has ties to the Republic area, was last seen getting into a green Pontiac Grand Am at the Library Station on North Kansas Expressway on June 30, 2014.
“Onescu’s death is considered suspicious and foul play is believed to be involved,” said Webster County Sheriff Roye Cole.
Cole is asking for help from the public in catching the young mother’s killer/s. “Information on this case is extremely sensitive. Please treat any information you have, that has not been released by authorities, as evidence and treat it accordingly,” he said.
Investigators with the Springfield police department are assisting in the investigation because Onescu was last seen in Springfield. If you have any information that can help authorities you’re asked to call the Webster County Sheriff’s office at 417-859-3014 or the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 and ask for the Missing Persons Division.

Authorities Asking For Help In Locating Woman Who Has Been Missing For Over A Month:

Springfield, Mo.- Authorities in Springfield are asking for help in locating a 22 year-old woman who has been missing for over a month.
Police spokeswoman Lisa Cox says Ashley Cunningham-Onescu was last seen getting into a green Pontiac Grand Am near the Library Station on N. Kansas Expressway about 2 p.m. on June 30th.
Cunnigham-Onescu, has “gone missing previously, but had always contacted family members by phone or social media in the past,” according to Cox.
Family members fear for the woman’s safety and say she does not have access to prescribed medication.
She is approximately 5 feet 7 inches, 115 pounds, with reddish-blond hair, blue eyes and a tattoo on each shoulder.
