Trial Date Set For Former Marine Facing Sex Charges:

A trial date has been set for a former Marine who is facing sexual misconduct charges in Stone County.

Authorities began investigating Christopher Allen Downs, 26, of Marshall in April of 2010 after the man allegedly sent nude photos of himself to an undercover deputy posing as a teenager.

Downs, was stationed in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and was deployed to Okinawa, was arrested in Seattle as he returned from duty on December 17th, 2010.

His trial is scheduled to begin on May 22nd.
