Sentencing has been delayed in the case of Christian County man who was found guilty of first-degree murder earlier this year in the death of former Macon County prosecutor David Masters.
A jury found Thomas Naumann guilty in May of for his role in Masters 2005 cocaine overdose death, and he was scheduled to be sentenced on July 6th. However, Judge John Moody is looking at several motions filed by both Prosecutor Ron Cleek, and defense attorney Dean Price and has not rescheduled a sentencing date.
In 2006 during the second day of her first-degree murder trial Crystal Broyles accepted a plea offer of second-degree murder in exchange for a guilty verdict for her part in Masters death; she is serving 13 years in prison at Chillicothe Correctional Center for her part in Masters murder.
Two other people were charged initially for taking part in Masters death. Both Brandi Storment (who is Crystal Broyles' sister,) and Christopher Hill were offered plea deals in exchange for their testimony in the case.
